Decolonizing Gender and Sexuality
In this workshop, participants will be given tools to deconstruct the way we and others view gender and sexuality and how societal constructs replicate historical legacies of colonization and trauma. Students will learn to use pop culture and social media as a way to analyze these legacies, ways in which we perpetuate cycles of oppression and exclusion, and how we can hold ourselves accountable to our communities and movement.
